The short version
Vission Scanner turns documents and receipts into clean digital files. Scanning happens entirely on your device — your camera frames never leave the phone unless you tap Share or sync to your own cloud.
We don't sell your data. We don't train models on your scans. We don't show ads.
What we collect
- Account email — for sign-in and recovery
- Device model and OS — for crash diagnostics
- App version — for update routing
- Anonymous usage events — aggregate metrics, opt-out in Settings
How we use it
Only to operate and improve the app: authenticate you, fix crashes, and measure feature adoption in aggregate. Vission Scanner is a free app — we don't sell, rent, or share this data with advertisers.
Your scans stay yours
Every capture, edit, and OCR pass runs locally on your device. Scans only leave your phone if you choose to share them, back them up to your own iCloud / Google Drive / Dropbox account, or send them to a teammate from a paid workspace. Files are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
Who we share with
A short list of vendors strictly needed to run the service:
- Authentication provider — sign-in tokens only
- Crash reporter — anonymized stack traces
- Email delivery — transactional messages
How long we keep things
Account data is kept while your account is active. Diagnostic logs are deleted after 30 days. Deleted scans are purged from our backups within 14 days.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it at any time — directly from Settings → Privacy → Manage my data, or by emailing us. We respond within 7 days. Where applicable (GDPR, CCPA, others) you also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
Children
Vission Scanner isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app and via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
